Relyable

AI voice agent monitoring and simulation

Relyable AI Voice Agent Testing

🚀 Quick Verdict

Relyable solves the most annoying part of building voice bots: listening to hundreds of recordings to find one error. It caught a logic loop in our test agent that manual spot-checks missed. The setup is fast enough for any non-technical founder to manage.

🤔 What Is Relyable?

Relyable is a specialized platform built to stress-test and monitor AI voice agents. It was created by the team at Inflate AI who realized they spent way more time testing agents than actually building them. It helps founders ensure their sales or support bots don’t hallucinate or fail during live calls.

The tool works by simulating hundreds of phone calls using different AI Personas. Instead of you calling your own bot over and over, Relyable generates realistic conversations to see how the agent handles “angry” or “confused” customers. It then grades every call against your own specific business rules.

⚙️ How We Tested Relyable

We used the Early Access version over one week to test a standard appointment-booking agent. We focused on three founder-level tasks: connecting an existing agent via API, generating 50 automated test calls with varying customer temperaments, and setting up an alert for when the agent fails to book a meeting.

✨ Key Features (What Actually Stood Out)

The platform is designed for people who need automation that doesn’t break in production. It moves testing from a manual chore to a data-backed process.

  • Persona Creation — You can define a customer’s mood and goal, such as an elderly caller who is hard of hearing, to see how your agent adapts its tone.
  • Custom Rubrics — We set specific pass/fail criteria for our calls, and the tool automatically flagged sessions where the agent didn’t ask for an email address.
  • Vapi and Retell Integration — Connecting our test agent took less than five minutes by just pasting the API key and agent ID.
  • Drift Alerts — During live monitoring, the system logged every call and promised real-time notifications if the agent’s performance started to decline.
  • Simulation Engine — It generated dozens of unique conversation paths based on our prompt, uncovering edge cases we hadn’t planned for.

💰 Relyable Pricing — Is It Worth It?

Relyable is currently in a controlled rollout phase. While they advertise simple scaling, you currently need to book a demo or join a waitlist to get full access to the production monitoring features. This is common for high-end productivity tools in the voice space that require direct API support.

Our pick: Demo Request — This is the only way to get a baseline for your specific volume of calls and agent complexity.

🧪 What We Found During Testing

The most impressive moment was using the Scenarios builder. We told the system to try and distract the agent by talking about the weather mid-booking. The tool autonomously ran 20 variations of this distraction, and we found that in 3 cases, the agent completely forgot to go back to the calendar link. Seeing that in a report is much better than finding out from a frustrated client.

A founder in our community who runs an AI agency told us they spend way too much time doing manual audits, and this tool let them automate those daily checks.

⚠️ Limitations We Found

  • Platform Specifics — As of late 2024, the best experience is locked to Vapi and Retell users; custom-built agents require more manual routing.
  • Closed Access — You can’t just sign up with a credit card today; you have to go through a contact form and wait for an invite.
  • Learning Curve — While the UI is clean, choosing the right metrics for your rubric takes some trial and error to avoid false positives.

⚔️ Relyable vs Competitors

Most people currently use generic LLM testing tools or just manual QA to check their voice agents.

AgentOpsYou need deep observability for multi-agent coding workflows rather than just voice.
LangSmithYou are a developer who wants to debug low-level traces across text-based LLM chains.

🎯 Who Should Use Relyable (And Who Shouldn’t)

✅ Use it if you:

  • Run an agency building voice agents for clients and need to prove they work.
  • Manage a high volume of local service lead-gen calls and need quality control.
  • Are tired of manually listening to call recordings to find errors.

❌ Skip it if you:

  • Only have a text-based chatbot — use a tool like LangSmith instead.
  • Are just starting and have fewer than 10 calls a week to monitor.
  • Don’t use Vapi, Retell, or ElevenLabs for your voice stack.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Does Relyable work with Bland AI?
Currently, Relyable focuses on native integrations with Vapi and Retell, though custom agents can be routed through their API with some manual setup.

How much does Relyable cost?
Relyable is in a demo-only phase where pricing is tailored to your call volume and usage needs.

Is Relyable worth it for a small business?
It’s best for those with consistent call volume where a single agent error could cost a sale or damage a brand reputation.

Can I create my own test rubrics?
Yes, you define exactly what a “good” call looks like, such as ensuring the agent mentions a specific price or collects a phone number.

Do I need to be a developer to use it?
No, the interface for creating personas and running simulations is designed for founders and product managers.

What happens when an agent fails a test?
You receive a detailed report showing where the logic broke and can set up real-time alerts for live call failures.
